Happy Sunday to 4,240 motivated writers 👋🏼
How’s everyone doing? I’m feeling refreshed after a week off and a few days at a lake house, just outside of Austin.
So what's in store this week?
It's the same as very week: I've got some great writing opps for ya! 😉
One of my fave is the pitch call from Supercluster, who are looking to a reporter to cover a space conference in Paris.
My inner geek is wishing I was back in Europe to cover it!
Let’s get to it! ⬇️⬇️
So, what do we have this week?
2️⃣ 23 calls to pitch inc. 2 writer grants 📢
3️⃣ 18 writing jobs

1️⃣ Resource of the week
Sometimes it’s useful to see great writing and reporting to spark inspiration.
That’s exactly what this piece by Gay Talese did for me, when I first read it back in 2016.
This an *absolutely wild* story. But it might make you never want to stay in an Airbnb every again.
Imagine this: a guy buys a motel (pretty normal)... but tricks it out with a secret floor so he can spy on guests 💀
It’s shocking. But it’s also beautifully written.
Give it a read here, and let me know what you think!
2️⃣ Calls to Pitch
I try to ensure these are well-paid. If not, they’re usually helpful in some other way. We range from new writers to those more established, so keep a like to share range of opportunities too
